N2  - During the period 1986-1991 a total of 3159 patients with diagnosis of either subcapital, intertrochanteric or subtrochanteric fracture were registered in the County of Southern Jutland in order to make a prognosis for the next twenty years. Contrary to other investigations an exponential increase in fractures was not seen, but only an increase related to the rising number of elderly people in the population.<p /> <p>Language: da</p>
