First, the institutional context for the Netherlands' approach to industry involvement is described. Subsequent sections deal with key aspects of government strategic guidance, defence procurement practices, contracting issues, specific policy instruments, R&D, and international collaboration. The paper concludes with sections on current policy issues and future policy outlook.<p />
