N2  - A number of investigators have reported on the beneficial asuects of humor in stress management. A sense of humor can serve as a moderator to prevent detrimental effects of stress in later life. In order to encourage a sense of humor among elderly persons, an imagery procedure has been developed to promote humor production, The process of humor production is stimulated by incorporating the factors of absurdity, incongruity and exaggeration into imagery.<p />
