N2  - Adopt An Elder is a volunteer intergenerational program designed to dispel misconceptions of aging, and to provide for selected teens an understanding of the normal aging process, as well as the diminished physical and mental abilities of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Personal experiences of former teen volunteers are cited. Discussion presents methods to sensitively address the needs of both teens and the elderly.<p />
