N2  - The impact of the religious institution on the lives of the elderly has long been recognized. This study focuses on the ritualistic dimension of religiosity as it pertains to the elderly population. Actual participation levels and activities as well as desired participation levels and activities are documented. Based on the responses of the subjects, suggestions are made concerning ways in which the participation levels of elderly persons can be enhanced in meaningful ways.<p />
