N2  - After World War II motor traffic developed in an explosionary fashion in Europe, and in view of the mass offers reaped by traffic, traffic medicine efforts were activated. The situation constitutes directly the reason that IAATM was founded 25 years ago. Previously in several countries national federations had been started which had connections with medicine and were intended to further the cause of traffic safety.<p />
