Vulnerable road users (pedestrians, motor and pedal cyclists along with their passengers) accounted for 65% of fatalities. The month of December accounted for the highest proportion of fatalities (11%). Fatalities and injuries were concentrated around the metropole namely Kingston and St. Andrew and St. Catherine (greater than 40% of fatalities and injuries). Some factors contributing to this scenario were identified.
