N2  - The psychopathological studies on adolescence underline the paradoxical behaviours during this period of life. After the analysis of its concept we show in which way the paradox helps to maintain the continuity of psychological life during the crisis. Thus impossible choices which are part of the contradiction in adolescents be avoided.
