N2  - Several types of accessible pedestrian signals (APS) have been tested for effectiveness and usability by the U.S. Access Board (also known as the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board). The devices tested provided information in several different ways, including sound from the walk signal, sound from the push button, voice messages from hand-held receivers, and vibrotactile signals.
