Psychoses secondary to drug ingestion, manic-depressive illness, and schizophrenia are not uncommon. This paper reviews the various forms of psychoses during adolescence. Special emphasis is on the diagnosis and treatment of adolescent schizophrenia, the most common psychosis in this developmental period.
