H. SP - 335 EP - 337 VL - 17 IS - 4 N2 - The mystical significance of fire is common to many cultures and religions. Burns are produced by contact with incense and treated with oil and vegetable dressings. Two cases are presented and discussed with reference to early Buddhist beliefs.
