N2  - SummaryA prospective and comprehensive analysis of 42 burn patients treated at the University of Virginia Burn Center was undertaken to identify the epidemiology of burns in a rural community. From this study, there emerged a picture of the patients who are prone to burn injury in this community. A strategy for preventing these burn injuries is discussed.<p />
