TY - JOUR PY - 1994// TI - Postmortem injuries by indoor pets JO - American journal of forensic medicine and pathology A1 - Rossi, M. L. A1 - Shahrom, A. W. A1 - Chapman, R. C. A1 - Vanezis, P. SP - 105 EP - 109 VL - 15 IS - 2 N2 - Four cases of postmortem injuries caused by indoor pets (three by dogs and one by cats) are presented. A pattern which is associated with this phenomenon is described. The important common factors appear to be the presence of free-moving pets inside the house, social isolation of the deceased, and the victim having a predisposing condition causing sudden death.
