N2  - Domestic violence has been little studied in France. However a national survey (Enquête Nationale sur les Violences Envers les Femmes en France, ENVEFF) shows that 9% of the women had experienced a domestic violence, including 2.3% very severe. Even if these violences are related to several characteristics or situation of the couples, they are observed in every social or cultural group.
