N2  - The current situation of fire safety in China is analyzed in this paper, and the main features of fire accidents in the past few years are introduced. Combining with the demand of economic and social development in China, we analyze and discuss the key fields of fire safety fundamental study and technical problems to be solved in this paper. According to the suggestions of fire fighting works during the tenth-five-year plan, the main strategies of fire safety in China is also introduced.<p />
