N2  - The aim of this article is to present a discussion about the presence of antifeminism among women of different social segments. In the text, there is the search for an explanation to the attitude above, turning to the concept of symbolic violence, which supposes the support of the dominated to the base categories of their domination, a fact that do not exclude the presence of compensations, which justify the support of several to those speeches and habits. Through a research carried out with intellectualized women, there is a disagreement concerning an investigation which restricts antifeminism to women from popular segments, because feminism would be something exclusive to those middle-class women, more precisely, to those intellectualized women that share modern individual principles.<p />
