N2  - This article is based on presentations given by the authors at The First International Conference on Domestic Abuse in the Jewish Community–Pursing Truth, Justice and Righteousness: A Call to Action, sponsored by Jewish Women International and Partners, held in July, 2003, in Baltimore, MD, USA. As the only representatives at the conference from the UK, the authors described wider arenas of Jewish life in the UK, and the statutory and voluntary services in which their agency developed. They reflect on some of the mistakes and triumphs encountered in the development of Jewish Women's Aid in the UK with the hope that this will be helpful for small faith communities in other places.<p />
