TY - JOUR PY - 2008// TI - DVCC protocol JO - Journal of child custody A1 - Drozd, Leslie M. SP - 19 EP - 31 VL - 4 IS - 3-4 N2 - High conflict issues including domestic violence allegations are present in a significant number of contested divorce cases. The DVCC (Domestic Violence in Child Custody) protocol is a series of questions designed to guide the interviewer in assessing for the various aspects of how partners handle conflict, including domestic violence. The protocol is not a test and no definitive findings of abuse can come from the use of this protocol but it certainly is a beginning step in asking questions that can assist the trier of fact in determining whether domestic violence–physical, emotional, and/or sexual–is present in a given case.
