N2  - From 1 April 1995 to 31 March 1997, 50 people presented to Townsville General Hospital with injuries caused by ceiling fans. Injuries ranged from grazes to compound skull fractures, and seven patients required admission to hospital for ongoing treatment. Most of these injuries could have been avoided.
