N2  - CASE REPORT: An 88-year-old woman was found dead, and suicidal ingestion of profenofos, an organophosphate pesticide, was suspected. METHOD: Gas chromatography-nitrogen phosphorus detection was employed for quantitation of profenofos after its identification by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. RESULTS: The levels of profenofos in whole blood, urine, and gastric contents were 1200 ng, 350 ng, and 3.35 mg/mL, respectively.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
