N2  - During the year 2007, the Directorate-General for Traffic has been preparing  a Strategic Plan specifically aimed to achieve a reduction of the sinistrality of motorcycles and mopeds. The development of the plan has counted with the active participation of all main actors in the sector (manufacturers, distributors, insurance companies, local authorities, traffic police-persons, user associations, etc.), so as to ensure the maximum level of consensus regarding the measures being proposed. The Plan will be completed in the third quarter of 2007 and its launch is envisaged to take place in the year 2008.<p />
