Symptoms of motion sickness are quite common in otherwise healthy people. The symptoms are usually of short duration and last for not longer than three days. Children of 2 to 12 years are most susceptible. Women are more susceptible than men to motion sickness. Predisposing factors include menstruation and pregnancy. Scopolamine and antihistamines are used for prevention of motion sickness.
