N2  - The application of anthropometry for the needs of ergonomics as well as examples of using anthropometric research in designing for the disabled were discussed and presented in this paper. One of the examples concerns workspace design. This space can be defined as Maximum Transverse Reach (MTR) and Maximum Sagittal Reach (MSR). The above reaches can be determined using several anthropometric measurements.The second example shows anthropometric research usability in designing and ergonomic assessment of clothing. Clothing meant for the disabled requires special construction that is based upon scientific anthropometric measurements. Relevance to industryAnthropometry provides data for the design of work and life environments of the disabled. Methods presented in the paper are used to determining the work space for people with motion dysfunctions and to designing clothing that comply with body structure of the disabled.<p />
