At laparotomy a ruptured patent mesodiverticular band supplying a large Meckel's diverticulum was found. Traumatic rupture of a mesodiverticular band leading to massive intra-abdominal haemorrhage is a rare event, and has never been reported as a single injury or in the context of a sport's injury.<p />  <p>Language: en</p>
