SP - 232 EP - 233 VL - 20 IS - 5 N2 - In the sociological Section of this interdisciplinery study data are collected on the consumption pattern, the social contexts of drinking, the drinking rules, the attitudes and behavior toward and the social distance to the alcoholic, on popular conceptions of the etiology of alcoholism, social attitudes and on socio-demographic characteristics. The household survey is representative for the French, German and Romanic speaking parts of Switzerland. The psychological section is complementary in the sense that it is, on a smaller scale, based on the same population. However, it deals with the functions of drinking at the individual level. First results will be available in summer 1975.
