N2  - This is a response to 'Had Enough of Auto-Dominance Yet?' by Jerry Schneider who advocates the use of new high-tech modes of transport. The origin of these modes appear to lie in the simplistic notions that there can be the prospect of transferring onto them a ,significant proportion of journeys currently made by car and that, from an environmental and ecological perspective, as they are 'public' transport, they are unquestionably 'good'.
