N2  - Gottfredson and Hirschi have suggested that criminal offenders are more likely than non-offenders to be involved in accidents. Other researchers, such as Jensen and Brownfield, have identified an association between offending and victimization. Conducting secondary analysis on data from a national Canadian sample, this article investigates the relationship between criminal victimization and accidents. After analysing the data with logistic regression and tobit procedures, the authors point to the importance of demographic and lifestyle characteristics as predictors of both accidents and criminal victimizations.<p />
