TY - JOUR PY - 2002// TI - Work capacity evaluation in Bosnia war veterans with peripheral nerve injuries in the extremities JO - Medicinski Arhiv A1 - Ramić, Ibrahim A1 - Filipović, Vildana Zejnilagi SP - 289 EP - 292 VL - 56 IS - 5-6 N2 - In the retrospective work it is treatment 100 patients, wounderers, RVI, from war with leasies of peripheral nerve upper and lower extremitates. It is used uniformal approach in diagnostic, therapy, and principles of evaluate of degree of invalidity. At all is done control of place and model of wounding, first aid, further surgery, neurologically and physically treatment. It is done inspection in operative and reoperative operations on leasiesed nerven. From 100 patients it was 96 men and only 6 women. All of them are experienced politrauma, all of them have status of RVI, with evaluate which gave Institute for evaluation of working ability in Sarajevo and Mostar, and decision of invalidity gave Ministry of war affairs FBIH. The most number of patients at the time of wounding were in age group to 30 ages of life, 33 (35.10%), out of 17 (18.08%) with injuries of nerve of upper extremitates, and 16 (17.02%) with injuries of nerven of lower extremitates. By frequency comes age group of 30-40 ages of life with 28 (29.78%) patients, out of 11 (11.70%) with leasiens of nerven of uper extremitates and 17 (18.08%) with leasiens of lower extremitates. At upper extremitates it was the most injured nervus ulnaris 39 (41.48%), then nervus medianus 25 (26.59%), then nervus radialis 20 (21.27%). At lower extremitates, nervus peroneus is the most injuried nerv sa 46 (48.92%) patients. To 40 ages of life, with leasies of nerven on lower extremitates we found 58 (61.70%) patients. Because of little number of patients of women, only 6, we dont give their statistic treatment. We found that, in time of wounding, the most number of patients were young people in their most productive age. "The evaluate of working ability" which gave medical team og Institute for evaluation of working ability in Sarajevo and Mostar is totally wrong method, because it was succeeded by giving "Decision" of Ministry of war affairs. We suggest that evaluation of degree of war invalidity give competent commission of Ministry of war affairs which will be parted of prominent doctors various profiles. In work of these commissions should be involved jurist, military person that will give evaluate of validity og completely documentation, specially of certificate about of place and model of wounding.
