The human resource area has been identified as a priority health research in Peru, based on a participatory and decentralized led by the National Institutes of Health (1). Additionally, it has a national agenda in the construction of which sought to identify the most relevant topics and proposed fourteen major research topics in the area of health work. However, the published guidelines do not include direct way an important factor as violence in the workplace, taking into account that in the review conducted for the purpose of this proposal (categorized as health and safety of health workers) do not studies are developed in Peru (2). Moreover, when globally, disclosed that about 25% of cases of workplace violence occur in the health sector and every other health professionals is a victim of violence (3), which may come from patients or relatives of these, as well as co-workers (3.4)
