N2  - This paper presents a description of a general method for the evaluation of reliability and risk of offshore pipeline and riser systems. The approach differs considerably from existing methods in this area, in that it combines an advanced mathematical model with an enhanced method of data collection and processing based on expert opinion, factual failure and incident data.
