N2  - Abstract To investigate the dimensions of self-reported anxiety in adolescents, the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) was administered to 108 inpatients between 12 and 17 years old who were diagnosed with mixed psychiatric disorders. An iterated principal-factor analysis was performed, and two factors were found representing subjective and somatic symptoms of anxiety. The compositions of these dimensions were comparable to those previously described for adult outpatients diagnosed with mixed psychiatric disorders.<p />
