SP - 104 EP - 113 VL - 7 IS - 2 N2 - Objective We shall consider a group of individuals standing in a situation of great vulnerability. Being both a woman and an addict means a double risk regarding domestic violence. Material and method We shall carry out a bibliographical revision and analyze, from a Drug Addiction Care Centre, the change in the profile of women who are both drug-addicts and domestic violence victims, as well as their aetiopathogenics. Results A model for the treatment of the addict and battered woman is proposed, with the settings for an action, the evaluation of their needs, and some specific aspects of their treatment from a psychological point of view. Conclusions We will insist on existing lacks of coordination and care in the programmes that are applied to this population and will propose new ways for the improvement of the treatment of this group.
