N2  - A fragile four-year ceasefire is under threat in the aftermath of an audacious suicide bombing that targeted Sri Lankan Army Chief Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka on 25 April, 2006. There are fears that the attack will strained Ceasefire Agreement (CFA) between the Sri Lankan government and Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). A woman suicide bomber penetrated the highly fortified Sri Lankan Army Headquarter by passing herself as a pregnant woman visiting the military hospital's regular maternity clinic. However, the bulges hid a lethal mix of explosives and steel balls strapped to her stomach and chest. However, both Colombo and the LTTE have repeatedly asserted their commitment to the CFA, while civilians on both sides are clearly weary of conflict.<p />
