TY - JOUR PY - 2005// TI - Review of injury biomechanics in car-pedestrian collisions JO - International journal of vehicle safety A1 - Yang, Jingzhen SP - 100 EP - 117 VL - 1 IS - 1,2,3 N2 - The aim of this paper is to survey the state-of-the-art of injury biomechanics in vehicle-pedestrian collisions, including the dynamic responses, injury mechanisms, tolerance levels, injury criteria and parameters that have relevance for injuries in different loading conditions. A condensed overview is given based on the published and ongoing studies in pedestrian injury biomechanics. The need for future research on pedestrian injury prevention is presented.
