N2  - Historically, sociological and criminological researchers can, by and large, be fit or self-categorized into one of two broad categories: either they are offender-centered or victim-centered researchers. This dichotomy of choice is certainly important as a considerable amount of valuable research has been published exploring the etiology of these two types of persons. Having said this, there has been a recent notable growth in the number of studies where investigators are acknowledging and to a lesser extent modeling the correlation between these two seemingly unrelated phenomena.<p />
