However, given that most of the world's peoples are employed by or make their living through individual, small, or family-owned enterprises, and that many of those enterprises are located in industrially developing countries, there is a need for outreach that can bring the benefits of ergonomics to these diverse populations. In this article, we discuss three example approaches to practicing ergonomics in developing countries.
