Methods The study is based upon the UN Security Council resolutions and policy documents of Police of United Nations and African Union Mission in Darfur. The mechanism and procedure of community policing will be elaborated. Results The UN community policing model is based upon collaboration of local police with the community and capacity building of police to improve policing standard. Community policing is an effective tool of monitoring and reducing crime and violence in the conflict affected area. Conclusions There is greater need for improvement of Community Policing in conflicted areas to improve human rights standard by means of effective linkage between Police and IDPS and capacity building of Police.
