A1 - Ategbo, S. SP - EP - VL - 9 IS - 1 N2 - This work aimed to determine the type, frequency, and establish the etiological factors, various domestic accidents in Libreville. Prospective cross-sectional survey from September 2005 to January 2006 in the pediatric emergency department Libreville Hospital Center and Children's Hospital of Owendo. Were included for children under 15 years, victims of accidents or unintentional injuries occurred at home or in its immediate vicinity. Were analyzed by age, gender, environment, circumstances of occurrence and type of accident. The included 56 children were divided into 31 boys and 25 girls. Children under 6 years (62.5%) were frequently affected. The fall was the main domestic accident (46%) followed by poisoning (16%). The court was the main place of accidents (47%) followed by the chamber (13%) and food (12%). The child's environment, the professional level of the parents were related to the frequency of accidents (p <0, 01).
