N2  - The counterbalanced lift truck is a machinery characterized by an unusual behaviour. Like a lever, indeed, it is deeply affected by the change of the load condition: sometime, when a small variation of the load takes place, the position of the original load centre of gravity may change a lot. For this reason, an ordinary lapse or a small mistake when driving may lead to a dangerous situation in a so speedy way that the most skilled lift-truck operator too might be surprised. Only the technological development, often incited by binding provisions, can help him. This paper shortly shows the lift-truck evolution related to the driver's safety and health. In spite of our expectations, however, market does not seem to be interested in this development: either because its mind has been took away by other kind of problems, or because a suitable sensitization campaign did not take place.<p />  <p>Language: it</p>
