Data were gathered in the midst of the Al-Aqsa Intifada on a sample of 707 adult participants. Terror-related stress, personal resources, and cognitive appraisals were meaningfully related to coping behaviors and adaptive outcomes. Israeli adults favored problem-focused over emotion-focused coping strategies. The data were discussed and explicated in the context of transactional stress and coping research.
