Eighteen community-dwellers (65 to 85 years of age) were randomly assigned to the intervention (INT) or control (CON) group. INT completed 12 training-sessions (60-minutes, six weeks). During pre- and post-testing, FES-I, balance performance (double-limb, closed eyes; single-limb, opened-eyes; double-limb, opened eyes with motor-interfered task) and gait parameters (e.g. velocity; cadence; stride-time, -width, -length; variability of stride time and -length) under single, and motor-interfered tasking were measured.
