N2  - On the base of deciding the weight of factors influencing safety performance of baggage conveyer belt with analytic hierarchy approach, a quantitative safety assessment method based on safety checklist is developed for airport baggage conveyer belt. As an application, the safety performance of airport baggage conveyer belt of the Beijing branch of China Eastern Airlines located at Capital International Airport Terminal T2 is assessed and its quantitative value of safety performance was gotten. Through the safety assessment, the hazards and its degree of the equipment were revealed validly.<p />
