N2  - With the growing interest in community mental health programs outside of the United States on the part of American mental health professionals, a cross-cultural format has been developed to assist in making a comprehensive analysis of any national mental health program. The format itself, together with initial experiences with its utilization in the study of six different mental health programs, is presented.
