N2  - In this article the causes of burn injuries in a series of 236 children admitted to the burns unit of Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital are investigated. Special reference is made to housing conditions as a contributing factor. The findings suggest that overcrowding and inadequate bathing and cooking facilities are conditions permeating almost all other contributory factors.
