TY - JOUR PY - 2014// TI - The effect of the cognitive demands of the distraction task on unconscious thought JO - Behavioral and brain sciences A1 - Waroquier, Laurent A1 - Abadie, Marlène A1 - Klein, Olivier A1 - Cleeremans, Axel SP - 44 EP - 45 VL - 37 IS - 1 N2 - The unconscious-thought effect occurs when distraction improves complex decision making. We discuss implications of these findings for Newell & Shanks' (N&S's) claim that evidence is lacking for the intervention of unconscious processes in complex decision making.
