N2  - According to estimates of the SINIACA Surveillance System every year in Italy there are 397,000 attendances to hospital ED caused by home accidents for women in working age and 110,000 of them concern domestic work activities. Hospital admissions of housewives due to work-related accidents are estimated at 9,200 per year with 900 severely disabled persons. The most of the housewives (63%) was injured in the kitchen while the most frequent mechanism of injuries are cuts (41%), falls (29%) and burns (10%).
