TY - JOUR PY - 1997// TI - Evaluation of the ethylglucuronide in urine samples with the internal standard d5-ethylglucuronide JO - Blutalkohol A1 - Alt, A. A1 - Wurst, Friedrich Martin A1 - Seidl, S. SP - 360 EP - 365 VL - 34 IS - 5 N2 - The evaluation of the alcohol marker ethylglucuronide is of importance in both clinical and forensic cases. This is due to the fact that the detection of ethylglucuronide is specifically possible for a longer period after the end of drinking than the detection of ethyl alcohol. Ethylglucuronide and ethyl alcohol concentrations were determined in 181 urine samples. The quantification of ethylglucuronide was performed by GC/MS with d5-ethylglucuronide as the internal standard. The urine alcohol concentration was determined by Head-Space GC. The ethylglucuronide concentrations ranged from 3 to 700 (mu)g/ml urine.
