N2  - The author discusses the legal consequences which follow in respect of the withdrawal of the permission to drive and the length of the blocking period in cases of appeal in which the blocking period expired before the appeal decision is made. The author considers certain consequences inequitable which point to a loophole in the law and advises a procedure, already used in other cases, to overcome this deficiency.<p />
