TY - JOUR PY - 1976// TI - Electronystagmographic studies on degree and duration of risk for traffic participation with 'small' doses of alcohol (0.3 - 0.5 - 0.8 g/kg/h) JO - Blutalkohol A1 - Heifer, U. SP - 66 EP - 75 VL - 13 IS - 2 N2 - By means of electronystagmography, it was possible to demonstate the correlation between the alcohol dose and the concentration of alcohol in the blood on the one hand and the effect of alcohol up to a blood alcohol level of 80 mg/100 ml on the other. The increasing traffic accident risk, which rises with an increase of the blood alcohol level, is the result of the frequency and the seriousness of the influence of alcohol on the drivers. A blood alcohol level of less than 30/40 mg/100 ml can be regarded as decisive in the prevention of traffic accidents.
