TY - JOUR PY - 1999// TI - After drink and urine sampling JO - Blutalkohol A1 - Iffland, R. SP - 99 EP - 105 VL - 36 IS - 2 N2 - With the preservation of a urine sample, which is obviously voluntary, there is no need for a second blood sampling and therefore no additional costs would be incurred. Urine sampling is the most effective protection against after drinking claims; much more so than a congener analysis. Besides in a few cases the people affected can be discharged following an after drink claim. The procedure requires police officers to investigate more precisely and accurately when dealing with DUI offences. Their work is supported by a specifically designed questionnaire. Section 3.5.4 of the joint decree of the countries (1) should be changed as suggested above.
